How much does a website cost?
A hand-designed starter site is £249 as a one-off. Multi-page business sites are a fixed quote from £600, and online shops or custom systems are quoted per project. Hosting, security and updates are a separate £20 a month if you want me to look after the site. The price you see is the price you pay, with no setup fees and no surprises.
What is the free demo?
Before you commit to anything, I build you a real, live homepage for your business so you can see it rather than take my word for it. If it does not make you want the site, that is fine and there are no hard feelings. You only pay the £249 once you have seen the demo, approved the finished site and it is ready to go live.
How long does it take to build?
Starter sites are usually designed, built and live within days of you saying yes. If you are in a real hurry there is a priority 48-hour build option. Bigger multi-page sites and custom systems take longer, and I will always give you a realistic timescale up front before any work starts.
Do I own the site?
Yes. Your domain, your content and your site are yours. There is no lock-in. If you ever want to leave, everything gets handed over cleanly. Good work should not need to hold anything hostage.
Do you do hosting and updates?
Yes, on an optional care plan for around £20 a month. That covers fast, reliable hosting, SSL, security patching, backups and small content changes like new photos, price tweaks or an extra service. Email me a change and it is usually done within a couple of days. You can cancel the monthly plan whenever you like.
Will it work on mobile and be found on Google?
Every build is mobile-first, because that is where nearly all your customers are, and it is speed-tuned so people are not left waiting. Proper local SEO and structured data are built in as standard, along with titles, descriptions and a sitemap, so search engines and AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini can understand and surface your business.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. There are no long contracts and no lock-in. When you say yes we both sign a short, readable one-page agreement that lists exactly what you are getting and for how much. The monthly care plan can be cancelled whenever you like.
What if I already have a website?
That is common. The free demo is a no-pressure way to see side by side whether a new site would do you more justice than the one you have. If your current site is doing its job, I will tell you straight rather than sell you something you do not need.
Are the reviews and ratings on my site real?
Always. No fake reviews, no invented star ratings and no awards from awards that do not exist. If your site shows a 5.0 rating it is because you genuinely earned one on Google. Honest copy is the whole point.
What areas do you cover?
I am based in Preston and work with businesses across Lancashire, including Fulwood, Penwortham, Bamber Bridge, Leyland, Chorley and the Fylde. The work happens online, so distance is rarely an issue, but being local to the patch helps the site feel like it belongs to the area.
